France, Great Britain, Ireland: Cultural transfers and the circulation of knowledge in the Age of Enlightenment

CALL FOR PAPERS

Proposals are invited for papers (in Irish, English or French) on any aspect of eighteenth-century Ireland, including its history, literature, languages and culture.

Proposals are particularly welcome on cultural transfers and the circulation of knowledge between Ireland, Britain and France in the age of Enlightenment.  Themes on this subject may include: print, science, literature, philosophy, economy, religion and politics. (See the separate Call for Papers for further details)

Postgraduate students are particularly encouraged to offer papers.

Proposals for twenty-minute papers should be submitted (preferably by email) to the conference organiser before Friday, 29 March 2010. Proposals should include the title of the paper and a 250-word abstract. Prospective speakers will be notified of a decision by 30 April 2010.
